IN Purpose ON Purpose

Hi Family!!! Over the last few months I have had a life change. I mean a for real LIFE CHANGE. I took a class on Purpose with the Habakkuk II Institute and it was eye opening. In conjunction with that I did a few brainstorming sessions to help further enhance my purpose development with Life Coach Brandi Hawthorne. WOW is all I can say. I learned several key factors and I would love to share a few of them with you…READY?

  1. Being out of Purpose will FRUSTRATE you!
    • Man was I frustrated in so many areas. Trying to make things work for myself was NOT working for me. I found myself spinning in circles and running in place and going no where and doing nothing….I needed to reset.
      • Matthew 11:28-30The Message (MSG)28-30 “Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.”
  2. If its not part of your purpose say NO!
    • This was hard for me. I had to walk away and turn somethings down because they were not enhancing the walk I was on. They were liabilities to me and not assets. Its really ok to say no sometimes. The key is to walk in and stay in  your lane.
      • Matthew 5:37English Standard Version (ESV)37 Let what you say be simply ‘Yes’ or ‘No’; anything more than this comes from evil
  3. Busy is NOT productive!
    • When this light bulb came on for me I started snatching leaches off left and right. I discovered that I was spending my time doing something but not being fulfilled, drained and exhausted and still not satisfied. I was producing but not producing what I should have been.
      • Hebrews 6:8The Message (MSG) Parched ground that soaks up the rain and then produces an abundance of carrots and corn for its gardener gets God’s “Well done!” But if it produces weeds and thistles, it’s more likely to get cussed out. Fields like that are burned, not harvested.
  4. Its okay to know what you don’t want but its better to KNOW WHAT YOU WANT!
    • This breakthrough took hours for me but when I got it, I GOT IT! Focusing on what I didn’t want in life or out of life was making me a negative Nancy and she is not part of my purpose. I had to sit long and hard and really think about how I wanted my life to look and even more at how God wanted my life to look.  As long as what I wanted lined up with what he wanted for me, I could have it.
      • Hebrews 10:36New King James Version (NKJV)36 For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise
  5. WALK in what I have learned!
    • I had to apply these lessons to my life. I had to walk away from somethings that I depended on and turn my dependency over to God. I had to allow God to show me who he designed me to be in him and I had to redefine success.
      • Colossians 3:16New King James Version (NKJV)16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

I am happy to say that I am stepping out into a new season of faith and realized dreams and potential. I am putting in work to reach the destiny that God has set for me. No more laziness or lack. God is GOOD and he is FAITHFUL and he watches over his promises to fulfill them. I am just happy that I discovered this now rather than later and that my heart was conditioned to the place where I could receive the seeds being planted. I am also grateful to others who were in the purpose. They helped me step out in mine.

Until Next Time….

Purposefully Yours,

Ty!
